Improving Paper Surface Strength: Anionic surface sizing agents
The Azsize® S605 series is a range of styrene-acrylic ester high molecular polymers designed for surface sizing in papermaking. These products enhance surface strength, ring compression strength, and water resistance, making them ideal for improving paper quality.
- S605A: Strengthens fiber binding, works with starch for surface sizing, and reduces shedding of wool and powder during coating.
- S605B: Used in sizing press equipment with starch, requires aluminum sulfate for waste paper pulp but not for chemical pulp, and has low foam, reducing the need for defoamers.
- S605C: Highly adaptable to the paper machine process, compensates for fluctuations in water resistance, and improves the paper’s water resistance index, but requires an antifoam agent due to foam formation.

Sizing Agent selection principle
- Production paper type.
- Added chemical types (aluminum sulfate, self-enhancing agent) compatibility.
- Performance requirements (water resistance, enhanced performance, moisture repellency, running performance).
- Gluing process conditions .(equipment, starch, etc.)
- Gluing cost.
Packaging and storage
- 200kg PE drums; 1050kg IBC tanks.
- Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place, avoid storing in the open air, at room temperature.(4-30 °C indoor cool place)
- Shelf life: 6 months.
