Cultural Paper Chemicals | Boost Quality & Sustainability
Trusted by Global Manufacturers of Books, Magazines & Art Paper Since 2015
Essential Chemicals for Superior Cultural Paper
From texture refinement to ink adhesion enhancement, our solutions address critical challenges in producing books, magazines, and premium art paper:
Our innovative defoamers are designed to quickly eliminate foam and optimize industrial processes. Our defoamers use advanced technology to quickly eliminate unwanted foam in water-based and oil-based systems, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted production. They are highly compatible with other additives and maintain process stability, making them ideal for paper, coatings, printing inks and water treatment applications. Environmentally friendly and low in VOCs, our defoamers help reduce downtime and improve overall product quality while meeting strict regulatory standards.
- Silicone-based: low surface tension and can quickly penetrate the foam film, destroying the stability of the foam.
- Polyether based: reduce the surface tension of the foam, making the surface of the foam film unstable, thereby promoting the collapse of the foam.
- Fatty alcohol based: destroy the foam structure and reduce the stability of the foam through hydrophobic effects and lubricity characteristics.
Wet Strength Agent is a water-soluble, cationic, thermosetting resin. It is suitable for the manufacture of various papers with wet strength. It is highly efficient, suitable for neutral paper making, easy to recycle or damage to paper or waste paper, and non-toxic. It can also be used as a retention aid for emulsion rosin and fortified rosin, a synergist for neutral sizing agents, and a cationic starch modifier to improve paper dimensional stability.
- Azfc® WS Series is a polyamideamine Epichlorohydrin resin based wet strength agent. It can react with the fibers in the dryer to form a thermosetting resin to increase the strength of the fibers.
- Azfc ® 2G Series is a water-soluble, cationic, thermosetting resin. It is a 2.5-generation product with low chloropropanol content and is suitable for manufacturing various wet-strength papers. It has the characteristics of high efficiency, suitable for neutral papermaking, easy recycling of damaged paper or waste paper, and non-toxic. It can also be used as a retention aid for emulsion rosin gum and reinforced rosin gum, a synergist for neutral sizing agents, and a cationic starch modifier to improve paper dimensional stability.
OBA (Optical Brightening Agents ) are essential papermaking chemicals specifically designed to enhance the whiteness and gloss of paper. By absorbing ultraviolet light and re-emitting blue light, OBA compensate for the natural color deficiencies in pulp, resulting in paper that appears whiter and brighter while improving print clarity and color reproduction. They are widely used in cultural paper, art paper, and high-end packaging paper, not only boosting the visual appeal of products but also meeting environmental and sustainability requirements.
- Azob® BA & Azob ® BAL: Main ingredient is Benzenesulfonic acid. It is a kind of disulfonic acid optical brightener. It has blue purple fluorescence. It’s anionic and its solubility in water is moderate, and it has good tolerance to acid.It has good affinity with paper fibers and little influence on PCD of wet-end.
- Azob® BBU & Azob® APC: Main ingredient is Benzenesulfonic acid. It is a kind of tetrasulfonic acid optical brightener. It is a product of high purity and versatility, has good acid and alkali tolerance and excellent brightening performance even at low pH value. And it has good storage ability at normal temperature.
- Azob® APW: Main ingredient is Benzenesulfonic acid. It is a kind of hexasulfonic acid optical brightener. It is especially suitable to be applicable on coating and surface sizing, and has the excellent brightening performance to paper. It has good acid tolerance and excellent brightening performance even at low pH value. And It has very strong light and alkali tolerance.
The Azsize® S606 series anionic surface sizing agents are designed for cultural paper, white-faced cardboard and most white specialty papers.
While having high water resistance and reducing the addition of internal sizing agents, it has good compatibility with anionic additives and strong resistance to paper machine fluctuations; it has strong compatibility with OBA.
- Azsize® S606A is a kind of anion surface sizing agent, with Low VOC, strong compatibility with alkaline substances and anionic substances.
- Azsize® S606B is weakly anion and can be used with anionic, non-ionic or weakly cationic starch for surface sizing. It is continuously added to the sizing working tank or the gluing pipe through the metering pump. The dosage of sizing agent depends on sizing requirements.
Azsize® R35 is cationic and suitable for sizing paper and paperboard with waste pulp or wood pulp as raw material under acidic and weakly acidic conditions. In the case of variations in papermaking conditions (pH, amount of aluminum sulfate added, type of pulp), a stable sizing effect is still exhibited. Maintain a good sizing effect under the condition of sealing (recycling of white water). Compared with ordinary cationic rosin sizing agent, the sizing efficiency is higher.
AKD wax, alkyl ketene dimer wax, can be divided into 3 models: AKD 1840, AKD 1865 and AKD 1895, is mainly used for internal sizing of various paper, such as copper plate base paper, copy paper, archival paper, high quality writing paper and corrugated paper.
AKD wax is usually used together with AKD emulsifier, AKD dispersant, AKD stabilizer to make AKD emulsion.
